This morning a veteran Houston Police Officer was shot in the face and seriously wounded while executing a narcotics search warrant.  His assailant was fatally wounded by return fire from officers. Also this morning, a veteran Houston Police Officer took his own life.  I have no further details of this event.

Please pray for the wounded officer's recovery and for the welfare of his family. also pray for the family of the officer who took his own life and for all the officers on HPD and the surrounding agencies.

God knows just how they feel. He lost His son in an effort to save us all.
