If It Ain't On Paper, It Didn't Happen. Print E-mail

I was talking to some people the other day about reading the Bible and you should have seen the look on their faces when I told them I no longer read the Bible.

You see I have taken to heart some advice I received in both the Marine Corps and in the police academy and reading the Bible is no longer good enough. I was told long, long ago that if you don't document every bit of intelligence or evidence you encounter, you never encountered it. In other words, "if it ain't on paper, it never happened."

There is a little bit more that I learned about that topic during my battle ridden journey through life, so if you are interested in finding out just what I have replaced my Bible Reading with, read on McDuff, read on.

I have known men and women in my career on the streets that pin on a badge and strap their firearm on and go to work powerless. I have also known both who could hit the streets without a weapon or badge and handle every incident to which they were dispatched. Power is no longer found in the badge and firearm or even in the uniform. It is found in the individual officer and is measured in how well they perform their assigned tasks. What should be the source of that power? Well I know where my power came from, though it took me some time before the realization hit me. Click Read More to find out what I finally came to realize.

Christianity is not just another certification Print E-mail
Written by Ray Fairman

We, in law enforcement and the armed forces, have chosen a profession of arms as a means of serving mankind. Some folks seem to think that creates a conflict of interest for a Christian. Well I guess I am not one of those folks. Neither do I think that being a Christian is merely a certification to be obtained or earned like FTO, SRO, Traffic Accident Investigation, Marine Patrol, Investigator, EOD, CSI or SWAT. It takes more than getting some “tickets punched” and passing a test to claim the title of Christian and to wear it honorably among warriors.
